So when IS Travel Day? For any date until 2014? You've come to the RIGHT PLACE!
The dates are worked out 'mathematically' - one of those age old university regulation things - so they're unlikely to change. But they could. Especially the ones for 2014. Which doesn't even sound a real date yet ...

Unfortunately, there are occasions when you may need to leave Homerton College - perhaps for lectures, supervisions or even dare I say it leisure purposes!
Homerton College Library may not have all the books in the world, but it's great if you suddenly realise you need that one extra book to fill out your bibliography or pad out your essay!!
It's also a relatively easy place to go where you can work outside of your room. Find out more here:
The Porters are one of the assets of any college. They guard (!) the entrance of Homerton day and night, 24/7 so that whenever they're needed, you can go to them for help.
There are a huge range of discounts available for students. Some places are up front, some not so much, but it's always worth asking. No matter where you are, look out for a student discount, and if you find a new one, be sure to let the Comms Officer know (

The HUS is trying its best to make sure that the Great Hall, the Buttery and the Bar are the best value for you.
However, we know that some students have complaints about the quality, quantity or price of food.
We want to make sure that it's the best it can be, but it's very difficult for college as well.
Unfortunately, the college is unable to provide kosher, halal and vegan foods, but vegetarian dishes are provided every day. Dishes are produced in a kitchen that uses nuts and nut oils. If you have a specific dietary requirement, including food allergies, please notify the Tutorial & Admissions Office prior to arrival.
Oh, and if you're going to hall or the buttery, they might kick you out if you aren't fully dressed, so don't turn up in your pyjamas!
If you have any queries about the menu, please contact a member of the kitchen staff.
All items on the menus are subject to change.
Here's some information about the food system at Homerton:

If any of these situations arise:
risk to life or substantial damage to property

major loss of power supply
major structure/damage, including ceiling collapse
