Absolute Pandemonium

We’re the university’s steel pan band! We have weekly rehearsals and write our own arrangements. No experience required!

Charter Choir

This is Homerton’s equivalent of a chapel choir. It sings Evensong weekly and performs in concerts and feasts at Homerton, as well as going on cathedral visits and an international tour each year. Auditions are held at the beginning of Michaelmas Term. For more information, contact the Director of Music.

Christian Union

The Homerton Christian Union meets once a week for Bible study and discussion, as well as putting on several events in college throughout the year, including text-a-toastie evenings and our annual May Week barbecue. Everyone is more than welcome, regardless of denomination!

Homerton’s very own Latin and ballroom dancing class! Come join us each week for an hour or more of jiving, waltzing and quickstepping. Dance competitively or just for fun – no experience required.

Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society – HATS

Homerton has a thriving performing arts community and in particular is well-known for its quality theatre and comedy. HATS supports anyone who is enthusiastic to direct, act or produce any theatre productions they like including modern drama, new writing, Shakespeare… you name it! Anyone can get involved with HATS on or off stage and we are constantly developing our repertoire both in Homerton and also supporting shows performed in town. The Homerton College Music Society promotes music at all levels within college. Our ensembles perform at two annual college concerts and other events. Our recital series enables individuals to perform music to their peers.

The Homerton Jazz Orchestra is a non-audition jazz band who perform simply for the fun of it! Weekly rehearsals with drinks in Homerton bar afterwards. If you play a jazz instrument we’d love to hear from you. The small jazz band, the Homertones, also play each week in the Bar, after Formals!
